1. Overview

AlmostOnSale (“we”, “us”, “our”) is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect when you use this website, how we use it, and what rights you have.

2. Information we collect

• Click events. When you click a deal link, we log the deal ID, a one-way hash of your IP address (not the address itself), your browser's User-Agent string, and the referring page. This is used only to measure deal popularity and detect abuse.
• Recently Viewed. When you visit a deal page, that deal is stored in your browser's localStorage. This data never leaves your device and is not sent to our servers.
• Server logs. Our hosting infrastructure automatically records standard HTTP request logs (IP address, path, timestamp, status code). Logs are retained for 30 days and used solely for security and performance monitoring.

3. Cookies

AlmostOnSale does not use tracking or advertising cookies. No third-party analytics scripts (Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, etc.) are loaded on this site. The only browser storage we write is localStorage for the Recently Viewed feature, which you can clear at any time through your browser settings.

4. Third parties

Deal links on AlmostOnSale point to Amazon. When you follow a link, Amazon's own privacy policy and cookie practices apply. We are not responsible for Amazon's data practices. We participate in the Amazon Associates affiliate programme; Amazon may set cookies on your device to track purchases for commission purposes.

5. Data retention and deletion

Hashed click-event logs are retained for up to 12 months for analytics purposes and then deleted. Server logs are deleted after 30 days. Because IP addresses are hashed before storage, they cannot be reversed or linked back to you. To clear your Recently Viewed history, clear localStorage in your browser settings.

6. Your rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal data we hold. Because we hash IP addresses and do not collect names, emails, or account information, we hold very little data that can be linked to an individual. 7. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top of the page will reflect any changes. Continued use of AlmostOnSale after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
